About Dr Zheng


Adult and Paediatric Ophthalmology

Dr Linda Zheng is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist who treats both adult and paediatric ophthalmology patients, and aims to provide lifelong care for her patients. She attained her medical and surgical degree at the University of New South Wales with Honours, and completed a further Masters of Medicine at the University of Sydney. During her Ophthalmology specialty training she sought to experience the full breadth of Ophthalmology by treating patients all across numerous hospitals in NSW. Dr Zheng completed a paediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and a refractive laser fellowship in Shanghai at China’s top refractive surgery hospital, the Fudan University Eye and ENT Hospital, under the tutelage of Professor Xingtao Zhou, the first surgeon in China to perform SMILE and the most renowned teacher and mentor to generations of refractive surgeons in China. Dr Zheng also hosted and chaired an APAC Presbyond training course with Professor Dan Reinstein from the London Vision Clinic.


Dr Zheng has a special interest in myopia management, refractive vision correction (SMILE, LASIK and PRK), keyhole strabismus surgery, eyelid surgery and cataract surgery.


Dr Zheng is currently appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Sydney Eye Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and has private consultation rooms across Sydney. Dr Zheng is actively involved in research and clinical trials so she can deliver the most modern treatments for her patients, has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals, and is involved in teaching and training the next generation of Ophthalmologists. Dr Zheng is in the process of establishing a laser refractive training course in Shanghai to allow future ophthalmologists the ability to train in refractive laser.

Dr Zheng is fluent in Mandarin and basic Cantonese.
